I did a crazy thing. I bought a barn on the edge of the Asturian hills and its raw, rugged coastline. Until six months before, I didn’t know how to use a drill. Now I have a shed full of power tools and am up to my elbows in lime, clay, bricks and wood, as I go about renovating it alone. Gulp. I like to think of it as a mid-life empowerment. A crisis is more 90’s, 00’s. These days we have the tools and resources to navigate our inner landscape and understand what changes need to be made before we hit the crisis zone… right?
